Tour description: Steinerscharte to Adamek Lodge see Tour 6. From here, ascent to Windlegerscharte (2,601 m). The Windlegerkar between the mighty Torstein and the Windlegerspitze offers beautiful, steep slopes. Where the crater overlaps a mountain pine zone, you have three options.
a) Southwards down to the Bachlalm and Dachsteinruhe (border).
b) Crossing on the right over to the Sulzenhals (1,821 m) and from there over broad mountain pasture slopes down to Hofalm (1,288 m) and on to Filzmoos.
c) Eastwards “through the gate,” crossing to Südwand Lodge and back to the Valley Station of the Dachstein Gletscherbahn (“Dachstein Circle”).
Only for conditioned alpinists accompanied by a guide! Very steep descent, climbing irons absolutely necessary for this tour.
