Preparation for competitions should be done under the most natural conditions possible. The Dachstein Gletscherbahn opens up a true training paradise for cross-country skiers and biathletes. The Dachstein glacier offers exactly the training environment necessary to be among the best.

Medal smithy
At 2,700 m altitude, the longest glacier cross-country ski runs stretch out in the middle of unrivalled mountain scenery. From July to November, the world elite has the opportunity to prepare on the 18 km diagonal and skating ski runs for their upcoming competitions. The foundations of medals are laid here. Hobby athletes also value the glacier ski runs as preparation for their individual season goals. In autumn in particular, up to 500 athletes from more than 25 nations cavort daily on the optimally prepared cross-country stretches of the Schladming and Hallstatt glaciers.

Panorama ski run for connoisseurs
The panorama ski run at the Dachstein glacier offers an interesting change from classic winter holiday activities like skiing or hiking in the snow. It offers pure cross-country enjoyment, a unique view, and untouched nature. The 15 km long panorama ski run invites you to be enchanted by powder snow and mountain air - a welcome change for body and soul.
